The confluence of the Elbe and the Vltava
The confluence of the two largest Czech rivers, the Elbe and the Vltava, is an important landmark of the city of Mělník. The most beautiful view of it is from the terrace at the Mělník castle or from the nearby Vráz lookout.

Hořín lock technical monument
The Hořín lock is part of the lateral navigation channel Mělník - Vraňany, in the direction of the Vltava flow it follows the Miřejovice lock, surpassing the height of the Vraňanské weir. The drop to be overcome is 8.5 m; the lock thus forms the highest navigation level in the section Prague - Mělník. The work was designed by František Sander. The lock is a technical monument.

Lhotka rock dwelling
The rock dwelling in Lhotka near Mělník is one of many rock dwellings in the Kokořín region. They were built mainly in the second half of the eighteenth century and in the nineteenth century. The poorest people in the village lived in them, sometimes the dwellings were used for temporary housing, for example after a fire and also as shelters in times of war, etc. Some had their own descriptive numbers and belonged to the municipalities that allocated them as municipal apartments. The rock dwelling in Lhotka near Mělník probably dates from the mid-19th century and is the longest-occupied Kokořín rock dwelling. The last inhabitant, Marie Holubová, was born here and lived until she was 80 years old (until 1982).

Mountain Říp - 20km
A symbol of Czech history and one of the most famous cultural monuments of Bohemia is located on Mount Říp. The Romanesque rotunda was dedicated to Saint George and Saint Adalbert. Saint George was the patron saint of plowing. It was built by Prince Soběslav I in memory of the victorious Battle of Chlumec, where he fought against King Lothar.
